Well, I hate the adds, I hate the bad configured FTP Server that doesn't even know SSL. So I am going to move the whole bunch off here. Maybe I'll just run it on my home box, or on jacklab.net - but funpic... just sucks..

Native Linux VST hits Gentoo pro-audio overlay - Tom [All my articles] (So, 22 Apr 2007 14:29:18 +0200)

Jorgen caused some sort of explosion with his EnergyXT2 Linux beta, that acts as host for native Linux compiled VST plugins. Really awesome application - commercial one though.
kRAkEn/gORe coded an open source VST host for jack called JOST, and ported and coded a bunch of nice plugins.

So I felt like writing a set of ebuilds for all that, available in the Gentoo pro-audio overlay. There are over 100 plugins available atm! Enjoy!

So, after some years of hanging around a linux box, I am more and more missing the ability to just fucking make some sounds - and I will pretty much convert my reiserfs music partition to something Windows mountable like ext3 and start stealing software again. Why?

Well, I'm more into doing electronic music. So what I need is

  • a good sequencer
  • a good drum sequencer
  • tons of plugins, ones that humans are able to understand without being a sound
